The Chevron City to Surf was on in Busselton last Sunday!

Our team was there in our skydiving jumpsuits to show our support for Activ, and one of our best customers!

There was a hint of summer about in Busselton last Sunday and lucky for us, as it was the day of the City to Surf fun run/walk!

Our energetic boss signed himself up for the 12km run, while the rest of us had decided it was best to ease into the day with the 4km walk and were keen to join one of our regular skydivers, Maree, who was chosen as an Ambassador for the event. Maree is in a wheelchair, so we were happy to be able to join in and help her around the course, we even took along some portable speakers to provide entertainment along the way!

Maree is one of five Activ Dreamers from across the state, chosen to share her dreams and encourage support and fundraising from the local community to be able to achieve them.

Activ are all about enabling people living with disability to reach their potential and, with the help of everyone involved in the Chevron City to Surf, they are making peoples dreams come true!

Marees dream is skydiving, and being bound to a wheelchair does not stop her from achieving this dream, as she has done 6 tandem skydives with us over the past few years, and is always keen to do another one!

She has had a bit of a rough start to this year and has been unable to come out and jump with us for awhile, so it was great for us to be able to catch up with her on Sunday, see how she is getting on and hear that she is working hard to achieve her goal of skydiving again in November.

Our team agreed it was a fantastic start to the day, which was beautiful and sunny and perfect for a day of skydiving… after a late morning re-fuel of bacon and egg rolls!
